The board of wealth manager Amber River is meeting on 16 December to decide between two final bids for the firm, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Bankers at Rothschild were brought in to work on a sale of the £15bn wealth manager over the summer. Penta Capital took over the business in 2019 and has since ploughed at least £160m into an acquisition strategy.
